Good on them. My boss got trapped in that way, talking to a customer who it turned out is a staunch Liberal voter. The boss got an ear-full.
Yes, you do have to be a bit careful. Especially in the playground. But if you’re a child things are much safer…people are much less inclined to engage in political debate with a six year old.
D’Arcy cheerfully informed us, on election day, that he hoped John Howard would win. We managed not to totally humiliate him with gales of laughter and derision. Other than that i don’t think it’s a topic of conversation that they pursue much at school. Unlike me at his age. My step-father was in local politics, so I had no choice.
